Job description
The Company

Globe 24-7 in partnership with a key client (one of the world’s leading metals consultancies that specializes in research ) are working together to source experienced and qualified talent for their office in London.

The Responsibilities
Market research & analysis
  • Produce granular country-by-country and sector-by-sector estimates of precious metals demand and supply, using both field research and publicly available data.
  • Maintain and enhance PGM demand and supply models, ensuring consistency, accuracy and clear audit trails.
  • Lead or support key PGM reports, including scoping, data gathering, analysis and delivery.
Data & modelling
  • Manage and develop structured datasets and models underpinning our PGM and precious metals research.
  • Work with other analysts to ensure joined‑up, consistent data series across countries, regions and products.
  • Contribute to improvements in data processes, documentation and quality control
Publications & client work
  • Contribute to the regular publications (weekly, monthly, quarterly and others), including drafting text, preparing charts and tables, and supporting data checks.
  • Contribute to bespoke consulting projects, providing analysis, data and written input as required.
  • Support the preparation of client and conference presentations.
Stakeholder engagement
  • Build and maintain relationships with key precious metals market participants across the world, with an emphasis on South Africa and Europe.
  • Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective clients within your remit.
  • Accompany senior team members on field trips and client visits to support information gathering, relationship building and marketing.
Field research & travel
  • Undertake field research trips as needed, including site visits, conferences and other industry events, sometimes internationally
Other
  • Take on a wide range of other data‑related and research responsibilities as required in a small, collaborative team environment.
The Requirements
  • Good academic background. BSc or equivalent is essential and MSc or other postgraduate degree/experience desirable.
  • A minimum 2-3 years’ relevant experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills .
  • Strong data analysis and data modelling skills, including working with structured datasets and checking outputs for accuracy and consistency.
