Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a multinational or complex group structure.

Responsibilities

  • Month-end and consolidation reporting, including balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintaining key reporting schedules and ensuring compliance with internal control frameworks.
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual statutory accounts under IFRS.
  • Supporting the external audit process, preparing audit packs and responding to auditor queries.
  • Collaborating with other teams on entity-level reporting requirements.
  • Identifying automation and standardisation opportunities.

Job Title: Reporting Accountant

Location: Glascoed. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: £38,000 plus, depending on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:
  • Month‑end and consolidation reporting, including balance sheet reconciliations and reviewing financial data
  • Maintaining key reporting schedules and ensure compliance with internal control frameworks
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual statutory accounts under IFRS, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and group processes
  • Supporting the external audit process, preparing audit packs and responding to auditor queries
  • Collaborating with other trams such as Group Tax and Treasury on entity‑level reporting requirements
  • Completion of other reporting requirements such as Office for National Statistics forms
  • Supporting ongoing optimisation of reporting processes within the FSSC, identifying automation and standardisation opportunities
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
  • Part‑qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA or equivalent)
  • Solid understanding of core accounting principles and reporting cycles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis
Desirable:
  • Exposure to statutory reporting and audit preparation
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or InforLN
  • Prior experience in a multinational or complex group structure

The Financial Reporting team:

Our dynamic Financial Reporting team offers a collaborative and supportive environment. We offer hybrid working arrangements and the opportunity to pursue professional qualifications with study support.

In this role, you will support the Group Finance team in delivering accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across multiple entities. Operating within a corporate Finance Shared Services Centre (FSSC), the role focuses on month‑end reporting via Hyperion Financial Management (HFM). Your attention to detail, clear communication, and proactive approach will help the team achieve its objectives. You will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial controls, contributing to the ongoing success of the business.
