Job summary

Build Recruitment are recruiting a Multi Skilled Engineer for a Housing Association covering Cambridgeshire and the East of England. The role involves responsive and planned repairs in occupied and void properties, across trades including plumbing, joinery, tiling, and kitchen/bathroom fitting.

You will work with a handheld device, deliver high quality service safely and on time, with training provided and opportunities for progression within a supportive organisation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 Building Maintenance Operative (or equivalent) is required.
• CSCS Blue Skilled Workers Card is required.
• Sound knowledge of Health & Safety practices.
• Experience in both occupied and void properties.
• Strong customer service and finishing repairs on time, first time.

Responsibilities

• Carry out responsive and planned repairs in occupied and void properties.
• Work across trades: minor plumbing, joinery, tiling & flooring, kitchen and bathroom fitting.
• Use handheld device for tasks and adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Deliver high-quality service in a social housing setting and complete tasks efficiently.

Permanent - Full Time

Build Recruitment are working with a leading Housing Association to recruit a Multi Skilled Engineer.

Covering Cambridgeshire and the East of England (main towns: Cambridge, Peterborough, Stevenage, Hitchin, Luton, Bedford, Haverhill), this is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation offering excellent benefits, progression, and support.

About the Role

As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out responsive and planned repairs to both occupied and void properties. Your work will cover a variety of trades, including:

• Minor plumbing
• Joinery
• Tiling & flooring
• Kitchen and bathroom fitting

You'll work to deliver high-quality service within a social housing setting, completing assigned tasks using a handheld device (full training provided). All works should be completed efficiently, safely, and in line with best practice to ensure excellent customer experience.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• NVQ Level 2 Building Maintenance Operative (or equivalent)
• CSCS Blue Skilled Workers Card
• Sound knowledge of Health & Safety practices
• Experience working in both occupied and void properties
• Strong customer service skills and a passion for completing repairs on time, first time
• Experience within social housing maintenance (desirable)

You must also:

• Have your own tools
• Hold a full UK driving licence (minimum 12 months)
