Job Description
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and produce monthly management accounts for maintenance and repairs, ensuring accurate accounting of expenditures and capital spend.
  • Budget Management: Assist with the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets and forecasts for repairs and maintenance functions.
  • Analysis and Insight: Provide financial analysis, variance analysis, and performance reports to help budget holders make informed decisions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in finance, operations, and development teams to deliver excellent financial services.
  • Strategic Support: Support strategic decision-making by providing accurate financial information and analysis for development and maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Accurate accounting of development projects, maintenance expenditure, and capital spend.
  • Producing variance analysis and performance reports.
  • Assisting in the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Providing financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Working with non-finance colleagues across different departments.
The Successful Applicant

A successful Repairs Accountant should have:

  • QBE, Part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or fully qualified accountants considered.
  • Experience in management accounting and reporting.
  • Ideally experience within the Housing sector (or similar)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets
