Job summary

Radwell-International is hiring a Repair Technician in Blackburn to perform visual inspections, diagnose faults, and refurbish industrial electronics equipment. The role offers hands-on training, opportunities for growth, and a supportive production team environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum GCSE achievement: Grade 4/C or above.
  • Demonstrated strong interest in engineering and technical subjects.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot effectively.
  • Experience using small hand tools, gained through previous roles or educational projects.
  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a willingness to undertake this qualification.
  • Ability to accurately identify electronic components and interpret part numbers.
  • Experience in cleaning, testing, and inspecting industrial automation components.
  • Proficiency in soldering techniques for electronic repair.
  • Basic mechanical skills with hands-on experience in assembly or maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct visual inspections to troubleshoot fundamental automation issues on a wide range of industrial equipment.
  • Service and refurbish equipment by cleaning and replacing aged or faulty components and mechanical assemblies.
  • Test industrial electronic and electrical equipment to ensure proper functionality, following established procedures.

  • Develop soldering skills with enthusiasm for mastering this essential repair technique.
  • Interpret and apply basic electrical schematics and technical drawings, following established test procedures with accuracy.
  • Utilize the job management system to document work progress and maintain precise repair records.

The Role

  • Identify component parts and part numbers, with a commitment to ongoing learning in this area.
  • Actively develop soldering skills with enthusiasm for mastering this essential repair technique.
  • Interpret and apply basic electrical schematics and technical drawings, following established test procedures with accuracy.
  • Efficiently utilize the job management system to document work progress and maintain precise repair records.
About You
