A leading water services company in Guildford is seeking a Repair and Maintenance Technical Specialist to provide expert technical support and manage teams focused on effective and safe repairs to the water network. The role involves coaching members and ensuring health and safety compliance throughout maintenance activities. The position offers a starting salary of £40,645 plus various benefits including a company van, pension scheme, and generous holiday entitlement.
We are looking for a Repair and Maintenance (R&M) Technical Specialist. As an R&M Technical Specialist, your role is to provide technical, problem-solving expert support both on-site and remotely to ensure quality repairs are undertaken on the water network. You will be managing, coaching and developing Thames Water and contractors' Repair & Maintenance (R&M) teams, to repair and enhance the water network in the most timely and cost-effective manner, with health and safety being paramount in all decisions and repairs.
You would be part of a shift pattern of 1 in 4 weekends, 1 in 4 weeks on a late shift and 1 in 8 weeks on standby for an average of 45 hours per week. You receive an extra payment for this.
