Qualifications

About the job

Our client are looking for an Air Conditioning & Chiller Field Service Engineer to join their team based in Cramlington. This is a field-based role so the successful candidate must be able to commute and occasionally attend the offices in Cramlington or Dartford.

You will be responsible for the install, commissioning, DE install, maintenance, service and repair of all rental equipment and fleet.

Main Responsibilities
  • Install and commissioning of rental equipment products with minimum direct supervision and within a pre-set timescale
  • To liaise with customers to ensure work is being carried out to their satisfaction and to identify future potential business
  • To give detailed technical reports on work carried out, or further work necessary to restore plant to optimum operating efficiency; to correctly complete work reports/time sheets to enable invoices to be submitted with minimum delay; to maintain regular contact with service centre
  • To maintain all rental equipment and fleet to a high standard.
  • On-site apprentice training
  • To ensure that the Company's technical and safety standards are maintained and to make recommendations for improvements
  • To adhere to company policy of quality service standards
  • To perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Required Experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience in similar role
  • Recognised apprenticeship (with good mechanical & basic electrical competencies.)
  • Advantage to have competency in safe handling of refrigerants, hydrocarbons and have good sound knowledge on controls and electrical fault finding
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
