A prominent social housing provider in the UK is seeking a Rent & Service Charge Manager to lead their finance team. This role involves managing the rent and service charge functions, ensuring compliance with housing regulations. You will drive annual rent reviews, coordinate budget consultations, and help develop the team for continuous improvement. We are seeking an experienced Rent & Service Charge Manager (Permanent, Full-time) to join our Finance Team!
This role is responsible for managing Eastlight’s rent and service charge functions, ensuring compliance with regulations and delivering accurate, transparent processes for our customers. You will lead on annual rent reviews, service charge estimates, and related financial activities, while driving efficiency and supporting colleagues and customers with clear, reliable information.
Day-to-day, you will manage the service charge year-end accounts and annual rent increase processes, lead the setting of service charge estimates and actuals, and coordinate budget consultations with the Leasehold Team. You will manage and develop the Rent and Service Charge team, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement. The role also involves producing reports for leadership and the Board, monitoring key performance indicators, designing compliance training, leveraging data analytics to identify inconsistencies, and working closely with Housing and Neighbourhood teams to support residents with tenancy issues.
Strong knowledge of housing regulations, rent standards, and service charge compliance is essential, along with proven experience in managing these processes within a housing or property environment.
