About the Role

We’re expanding our renewables team and seeking a Solar PV Technical Designer to help deliver high‑quality solar solutions for our domestic and commercial customers.

Job Opportunity

As a Solar PV Technical Designer, you will play a key part in turning customer enquiries into well‑designed, efficient solar PV systems. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include :

  • Liaising with the sales team to understand customers’ needs
  • Producing accurate solar PV system designs using PV SOL
  • Preparing quotations, system layouts and technical drawings
  • Advising on system performance, shading and product options
  • Working closely with the sales and installation teams to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Maintaining high levels of customer service and technical accuracy

This is a varied and rewarding role with excellent opportunities to learn, grow and develop your expertise in the renewable energy sector.

Essential Skills

We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic about renewable energy and comfortable working with both customers and technology. You will ideally have :

  • 1–2 years’ experience in a similar technical or design role
  • A background in electrical engineering, renewable energy, building services or a related field
  • Good IT skills and the ability to learn new software
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with technical information
  • The confidence to communicate clearly with customers and colleagues
  • Basic knowledge of property types and electrical systems
