Job summary

Eco2Solar is seeking a Renewables Electrician based in Northampton to install PV systems, inverters and generation meters while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

The role involves travel to site locations, occasional overnight stays, and delivering accurate paperwork with strong teamwork. Experience in solar installations and domestic new builds is preferred; 18th Edition and AM2/NVQ3 are required or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 18th Edition (BS7671) qualification is required.
• N/SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or an AM2 apprenticeship.
• Solar certification (BPEC or City & Guilds) is helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Install PV systems, inverters and generation meters safely and efficiently.
• Travel daily to sites with occasional overnight stays.
• Complete paperwork and reports accurately and on time.
• Adapt to team and take responsibility for personal workload while delivering high-quality service.

Job description

Renewables Electrician, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation of PV systems (inverters and generation meters), accurate and timely submission of paperwork, compliance with MCS and Health, Safety and Quality standards. This is a site-based role requiring travel on a daily basis. There will be a requirement for overnight stays as and when required. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential within this role. The role requires good technological skills and the ability to use Apps to complete certifications and reports. Having the ability to work both as part of a team and also take overall responsibility for your personal workload, whilst delivering excellent levels of service is essential. A desire to put our clients' needs first and a thirst to develop your own skills is a key part of fitting into this established team.

To be successful in this role you'll have strong communication skills, be reliable and a team player. You will be able to work within established timeframes and possess excellent timekeeping skills. You will be flexible in working arrangements and be driven to go the extra mile to ensure we deliver a high-quality service for our customers. Previous experience in solar installations and/or domestic new builds is required. It is important that you have:
