Renewables Compliance Manager - Sync Energy

Location: Telford / Hybrid (minimum 2 days per week in Telford office)

Hours: Full-time | Permanent | 39 hours per week

Schedule: Mon–Thurs: 8.30am–5.00pm | Fri: 8.30am–4.00pm

Salary: £Competitive + 20% bonus

Are you passionate about renewable energy and compliance? We are excited to offer an internal opportunity to a proactive and knowledgeable Renewables Compliance Manager to join the Sync Energy team—a division of Luceco PLC.

About the Role

As Renewable Compliance Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our products remain compliant with ever-evolving regulations in the renewable energy sector. You’ll engage with industry bodies, collaborate with internal teams, and help shape our approach to regulatory changes across the UK, EU, and MENA regions.

What you’ll be doing:

• Engage with industry committees (e.g., BEAMA, IET) to stay ahead of regulatory changes in EV, Micro , and battery sectors.
• Work closely with the software team to ensure compliance and support our involvement in DSR/flexibility markets.
• Produce documentation and deliver training to internal teams on new standards and regulatory developments.
• Ensure all Sync Energy products comply with the latest regulations and standards.
• Research and interpret regional regulatory requirements across the UK, EU, and MENA.
• Ensure accurate product listings on relevant regional databases and systems.
• Advise internal stakeholders on regional regulatory and requirements.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in renewable energy or a closely related industry.
• Expertise in certification, regulations, and industry systems.
• Ability to simplify complex requirements and train teams effectively.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Collaborative approach in a hybrid team environment.
• Proficiency in interpreting and applying technical standards and regulations.
• Experience with documentation, training, and internal communications.
• Experience working with regulatory bodies and industry committees (desirable).
• Understanding of UK, EU, and MENA regulatory environments for renewable energy (desirable).

• Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Energy Management, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
