Job summary

SSE plc in Scotland invites a Civil Delivery Engineer to lead civil asset management across onshore wind, solar and battery sites within the GB South portfolio. You will manage maintenance, refurbishment and asset integrity across sites, collaborating with Operations, Engineering and external contractors to maximise performance and asset life.

You should hold a Civil Engineering degree or equivalent, with experience in asset management, contract delivery and risk assessments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience managing civil engineering assets, maintenance programmes and contractors.
• Knowledge of UK health and safety legislation (CDM 2015) and risk assessment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management across teams, contractors and partners.
• Proactive, independent worker with budget management and continuous improvement experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe management of civil assets across onshore wind, solar and battery sites.
• Oversee integrity of civil infrastructure: foundations, tracks, drainage, structures, balance of plant.
• Deliver projects from scope to completion including contractor management and refurbishments.
• Provide technical support, monitor asset health and drive proactive maintenance.
• Develop budgets and plan for asset life extension, repowering and decommissioning.
