The Job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hands‑on Plant Operative to join a renewable energy business in Somerset. You will support the Plant Supervisor with daily checks, basic maintenance, and the smooth running of the biomass and combined heat and power (CHP) plant. This is a practical, physically active role in an industrial environment, ideal for someone eager to gain experience and build a long‑term career in the renewable energy sector.

The Candidate
  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in an industrial setting
  • Willing to carry out manual, hands‑on tasks
  • Reliable, organised, and detail‑oriented
  • Able to work weekends on a rota basis
  • Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
  • Basic mechanical knowledge (pumps, valves, filters) desirable
  • Previous experience in a similar industrial role advantageous
  • Interest in renewable energy and willingness to learn and develop
