Job summary

European Energy UK Limited is seeking a Renewable Energy Asset Manager in Glasgow to oversee daily operation of UK wind and solar portfolios. You will analyse performance, manage data-driven insights, and collaborate with O&M, EPC, and commercial teams to maximise asset value and uptime.

You will lead risk, contract management, and regulatory compliance while building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support the green transition across our UK assets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Renewable Energy, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or similar.
  • 2+ years of renewable energy experience with solid technical background.
  • Knowledge of UK health and safety regulations (CDM, IOSH, Nebosh or similar).
  • Experience with OFGEM and BEIS platforms.
  • Experience with reviewing contracts and contract management.
  • Strong MS Office 365 and data analysis skills.
  • Professional level English language.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day technical operation and performance analysis of wind and solar PV assets in the UK.
  • Coordinate with O&M, EPC, and Commercial teams to optimize asset performance and cost.
  • Manage OPEX budget, KPI reporting, and data-driven decision making.
  • Oversee contract management, risk, compliance, and reporting for assets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal/external stakeholders at all levels.

Your New Team

The global Asset Management team consists of 92 colleagues in total, based in Denmark, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, the UK, and Brazil. We are responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of power-producing assets, offering asset management services for internal and external assets, and providing power sales services. The European Energy UK team consists of 20+ colleagues working principally from our office in Glasgow. As a team, we value collaboration and a sense of shared and individual responsibilities. Your New Role

As a Renewable Energy Asset Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operation of our own and third-party portfolios of renewable energy assets in the UK. Your focus will be on managing day-to-day technical activities, performance analysis, and reporting on our solar and wind parks in the UK. We work closely with our in-house Commercial Asset Management team, O&M, EPC, Project Development, and Innovation to achieve our main goal of optimizing operational assets with a special focus on performance optimisation and cost minimalisation.

Your Responsibilities
  • QSHE - you lead a strong culture of safety; prioritize health, safety, quality, and environment; ensure our QSHE values flow through all aspects of project identification and development; adopt a mindset of continuous improvement and transparent reporting on all aspects of QSHE both internally and with project partners and stakeholders.
  • You ensure that the assets comply with legal, mechanical, electrical, safety, and environmental regulations, both contractually and locally.
  • You are responsible for general contract management, including risk management, compliance, and reporting.
  • You supervise and focus on optimizing the technical operation of wind and solar PV projects, including full responsibility for OPEX budget and technical performance through data analysis and KPI management.
  • You coordinate with O&M and service providers of assets to manage the operation and maintenance of the sites, requiring technical reporting, O&M contract negotiations, and QHSE management of works.
  • You build and maintain relations with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, managing the relationships with and between customers, insurance companies, authorities, EPC, O&M, lenders, banks, investors, landowners, and local communities.
Prerequisites to progress in the job
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or similar.
  • You have 2+ years of work experience in the renewable energy sector with a solid technical background, including an understanding of the technical operation of PV plants.
  • You know UK health and safety regulations, including CDM, IOSH, Nebosh, or similar.
  • You have experience with OFGEM and BEIS platforms.
  • You have experience with reviewing contracts and contract management.
  • You have solid Microsoft Office 365 and data analysis skills.
  • You write and speak English at a professional level.
  • As a person, you are proactive and a good communicator.
  • You possess a natural urge to optimise operating projects.
  • You know the details stated in our contracts and you are good at keeping an overview of your assets.
  • You have an eye to see if issues may arise and effectively act on them based on your technical and data-driven approach.
  • Finally, you find it natural to coordinate with your team and involve relevant stakeholders to ensure optimal production of PV farms.
