Job summary

NHS Highland Renal Service is seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) or Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join the Renal Team at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness. The post offers a Band 7 fixed salary range and permanent contract, with full training provided and potential relocation support.

The role covers dialysis care, acute kidney injury, and transplant follow‑up, with opportunities for flexible working patterns.

Qualifications

• Must hold NHS Highland-approved Advanced Clinical Assessment and History Taking module at degree level.
• Registered with the NMC as a Non-Medical Prescriber (V300).
• Substantial experience at an advanced practice level in acute inpatient settings.
• Final sign-off in line with national advanced practice standards by hosting board.

Responsibilities

• Provide ANP/ACP care within the Renal Service.
• Lead advanced clinical assessments and decision making.
• Support haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis care.
• Flexible daytime hours with occasional evenings; on-call expectations.
