La Fosse Associates is partnering with a well-known digital business to hire a Web Software Engineer on a contract basis. You will join a collaborative engineering team building, enhancing and maintaining customer-facing web applications at scale.

The role is hands-on, focusing on modern web technologies such as TypeScript, React and Next.js, with a strong emphasis on delivering high-quality software and responsive UX. Remote work is available for an initial 3-month engagement.

Qualifications

4-6 years of experience as Web Software Engineer, Front End Engineer or Full Stack Engineer.
Strong commercial experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
Hands-on development with React.
Experience with modern web applications and platforms.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Comfortable working within agile delivery teams.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain modern web applications using TypeScript and React.
Build scalable, reusable and well-documented software solutions.
Support the enhancement of existing applications and platforms.
Collaborate with developers, product teams and stakeholders to deliver business-critical features.
Improve application performance, reliability and maintainability.
Contribute to code reviews, testing and engineering best practices.
Assist with the modernisation and optimisation of existing systems.
