Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
We are looking for a designer to shape how the site reads and how our tools feel to use. The role is remote and unpaid, and takes about a day a month. There is no set day, and we arrange any calls around you.
People reach our tools when something has already gone wrong for them, so a confusing page costs them the outcome they came for. A designer makes the guidance easier to follow and the tools easier to finish, and keeps the site usable for people who rely on assistive technology.
We are looking for experience designing for the web, an eye for plain language as well as layout, and an interest in accessibility. You do not have to be an expert in accessibility.
