Job summary

NetSPI Inc. is seeking a Security Consultant II to perform web application penetration testing and identify vulnerabilities in client environments across APIs and apps.

You will create actionable reports, collaborate with clients to improve security posture, and stay current with industry best practices. This role requires strong communication, rigorous testing, and willingness to travel up to 5-10% as needed while working from a remote UK location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS/Engineering/Math/IT or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of experience in application penetration testing.
• Familiarity with offensive tools (Kali Linux, Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nessus).
• Understanding of OWASP Top 10 and security frameworks.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Linux, MacOS internals.
• Willingness to travel up to 5–10%.
• 8-hour workday with occasional evenings or weekends to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Penetration test web applications and underlying APIs.
• Create and deliver reports in diverse client environments, maintaining processes and access protocols.
• Research and develop new testing techniques and tools for penetration testing services.
• Perform day-to-day consulting tasks to ensure smooth operations.
