Job summary

Axiom seeks a Trade Compliance & Sanctions Legal Talent to support clients across industries, handling trade compliance, export controls, sanctions, and related regulatory matters.

You will work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement programmes, review documentation, and assist with licenses and audits. Flexible remote, onsite or hybrid engagement based on client requirements.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer eligible to practise in the UK or experienced trade compliance professional with UK experience.
• Experience in areas of trade compliance including export/import controls, sanctions, licensing, screening or compliance programmes.
• In-house, private practice or consultancy background in an international trade-focused organisation.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, business-focused advice on trade compliance matters, including export controls and sanctions.
• Develop, implement and support trade compliance programmes, policies and training.
• Review trade documentation, support product classification and screening, and assist with licenses, registrations, audits and regulatory approvals.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, risk, supply chain, procurement, logistics and business teams to manage regulatory change and deliver solutions.
