Qualifications

• Proven experience as a structural steel connection designer within a UK fabrication or consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of Eurocode 3 and relevant British Standards.
• Proficiency with connection design software (IDEA StatiCa, Tekla Tedds, MasterSeries).
• Ability to interpret GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and 3D models.

Responsibilities

• Produce safe, efficient, and compliant structural steel connection designs to Eurocodes/BS standards.
• Prepare detailed calculations, sketches, and design reports for approval.
• Collaborate with engineers, detailers, and fabrication teams to resolve technical queries.
• Review drawings, specifications, and 3D models to determine connection requirements.
• Provide input during tender, design and construction phases.
• Ensure designs meet safety, quality, and fabrication requirements.
