Job summary

GitLab is seeking Site Reliability Engineers for Infrastructure Platforms. This single application process evaluates you across multiple teams and matches to the opportunity that fits your skills, from Intermediate to Senior Staff.

You’ll work on reliable production systems, automation, and GitOps in a globally distributed, all-remote environment. The base salary range is US-focused and includes generous benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience keeping production systems reliable and scalable.
• Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes operators or controllers.
• Ability to read, debug, and discuss code (Go/Ruby).
• Hands-on with at least one cloud provider (AWS or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Keep user-facing services reliable, scalable, and efficient.
• Build automation and tooling to reduce toil.
• Operate and troubleshoot production systems on Kubernetes.
• Write and maintain infrastructure as code with CI/CD and GitOps.
• Participate in on-call, triage alerts, and runbooks.
• Contribute to observability with metrics, logs, and SLOs.
• Document runbooks and architecture decisions.
