Job summary

IPRS Group Ltd. is recruiting Software Engineers on a fixed-term contract to 30 September 2028. The role is fully remote within the UK, with occasional travel to Ipswich or London.

You will develop Handl Health's electronic healthcare record, using React, .NET or Node.js, and Medplum FHIR Server, guided by FHIR standards. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with divisional responsibilities across Handl Health and Complex Rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience
• Relevant software development, Microsoft Azure or cloud certification
• Training, certification or CPD relating to healthcare technology or HL7 FHIR

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements for Handl's electronic healthcare record into technical delivery using both hand-written and AI-assisted coding approaches
• Design, develop and maintain applications and services using React, .Net or Node.js, and Medplum FHIR Server with appropriate use of FHIR standards and APIs
• Work as part of an agile delivery team, following and improving DevOps practices including source control, automated build and deployment pipelines, environment management and release processes
• Promote automated testing and appropriate quality controls, building testing into the development lifecycle
• Design and develop software with security, privacy, resilience, performance, maintainability and observability in mind
• Maintain effective engineering documentation
• Contribute to evolution of the platform, reduce technical debt and improve developer productivity
• Collaborate with product, clinical, operational, data and technology teams to translate requirements into solutions
• Participate in Agile planning sessions, refinements and demonstrations
• Investigate and resolve production issues, capturing lessons for future development
• Develop understanding of healthcare informatics standards, especially FHIR
• Keep knowledge updated and propose improvements
• Ensure development complies with governance and data protection policies
• Build relationships with suppliers and other Handl group teams
• Occasional business travel, including monthly travel to IPRS Group HO near Ipswich or London
