Job summary

Speechify, a remote-first AI and audio platform, seeks a Software Engineer, AI Data in Belfast. You will join the AI data team to build data pipelines powering model training and next-generation products.

You will work on petabyte-scale datasets, ensure data quality, and deliver efficient pipelines for scalable AI research. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of backend experience, strong Python and Bash skills in Linux, and a track record building production systems and data pipelines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Experience building and operating production systems, including data pipelines or large-scale data processing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Discover new sources of audio data and build pipelines for training datasets.
• Build and optimize large-scale data-processing systems for quality, throughput, and cost.
• Collaborate with AI Scientists to improve training datasets.
• Own engineering projects from discovery to delivery and continuous improvement.
