Job summary

Translation Empire PK is urgently recruiting freelance Slovak interpreters and translators based in Sheffield. This self‑employed position involves interpreting for people in legal, health, and local government services, ensuring understanding and confidentiality.

Candidates should be fluent in English and Slovak, have the right to work in the UK, and be 21 or older. This role offers flexible working hours, allows you to work from home, and supports your professional development.

Qualifications

• All applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
• Must be aged 21 or over.
• NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registered is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Interpret for people using legal, health and local government services.
• Check the non‑English speakers’ understanding after each sentence.
• Perform conference, consecutive and public service interpreting.
• Deal with highly confidential information.
• Liaise between the service user and service provider.
