Job summary

uMed, a clinical research network, is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead cross‑functional sub‑studies across regions. You will own budgeting, sponsor relationships, risk management, and governance with senior stakeholders, while collaborating with product and engineering to translate needs into actionable requirements.

You'll supervise multiple teams, ensure regulatory compliance across geographies, and mentor junior staff as part of a dynamic, fully remote-friendly environment

Qualifications

• 5+ years in research delivery and programme management with multi-region scope.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and client relationship skills.
• Highly organised with ability to manage complex cross-functional projects.
• Experience in risk and issue management with cross-functional teams.
• Budget forecasting and profitability understanding.
• Healthcare, clinical trials, or research experience preferred.
• Certification in project management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Scope, evaluate, and shape sub-studies with commercial partner involvement.
• Manage sub-studies including sponsor relations and contract renewals.
• Plan, track, and report programme progress using PM tools.
• Own budget accountability with finance partner, forecast margins.
• Identify and mitigate risks, escalate when needed.
• Build relationships with external clients at senior level; lead governance.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to translate needs into requirements.
• Ensure PHI data privacy compliance.
• Mentor junior team members and review their plans.
• Contribute to process improvements across the function.
• Deputise for VP of Operations as required.
