Job summary

Creative Recruitment is seeking a Senior front-end HTML Game Developer for a leading entertainment games company in the UK. The role offers full remote working with occasional in-office meetings in Oxfordshire.

The ideal candidate will craft high-quality, mobile-first frontend experiences using HTML5, TypeScript and modern game frameworks, collaborating with designers and engineers across the globe to deliver polished, performant games.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with HTML5 and TypeScript in mobile/desktop.
• Experience with PixiJS, Phaser or other JS gaming frameworks.
• Proficient with animations using WebGL or Canvas 2D.
• Experience with Git and SVN.
• CSS, PostCSS, and SASS/SCSS.
• CSS frameworks and responsive design techniques.
• Maths/Statistics/Physics background or 3D development is a plus.
• Knowledge of cross-platform constraints and capabilities.
• Experience with JS build tools (Gulp, Vite, Rollup).
• Ability to analyze frameworks for mobile-first experiences.
• Experience with logging/analysis tools (Elasticsearch, Rollbar, Sentry).
• Excellent communication in an internationally-based team.

Responsibilities

• Develop mobile/desktop games with a team, ensuring on-time, defect-free delivery.
• Collaborate with designers to ensure performant, cross-platform experiences.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and engineering best practices.
• Mentor junior developers and advocate for engineering standards.
• Communicate clearly and adapt to new tools and tech.
• Lead with a mobile-first development mindset and plan using Jira/Confluence.
