Job summary

iO Associates is seeking a Senior GCP Platform Engineer/Architect to design and build scalable Google Cloud platforms powering enterprise AI workloads. This hands-on role focuses on secure, production-grade architectures for multi-project environments, with flexible remote hours across the UK and Europe.

You'll define reusable GCP patterns, implement IaC with Terraform, and support pre-sales architecture discussions while collaborating with senior stakeholders to deliver robust cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing and operating production GCP platforms for enterprise workloads.
• Strong experience with GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, networking and IAM.
• Production Terraform IaC experience.
• Strong Python scripting and automation.
• Experience building secure, multi-project enterprise cloud environments.
• CI/CD and platform automation.
• Experience in regulated enterprise environments.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing architecture skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and build enterprise AI platforms on Google Cloud.
• Architect secure, scalable GCP environments for AI workloads and ERP integrations.
• Design container and serverless platforms using GKE, Cloud Run and Cloud Functions.
• Build reusable Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Config Connector.
• Implement secure networking, IAM, Workload Identity and isolated deployments.
• Develop event-driven architectures with Pub/Sub, Eventarc and Cloud Tasks.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects to translate requirements into production-ready GCP solutions.
• Define platform standards, reference architectures and deployment best practices.
• Support pre-sales architecture discussions and technical design reviews.
