Job summary

accesso is hiring a Senior Accountant to support the revenue side of the Finance team in a fully remote UK role. You will help ensure financial integrity through audit-ready reporting, robust controls, and empowered decision-making with AI tools.

The role requires 4+ years of experience, strong Excel, and excellent communication skills. As part of the Finance Team, you will collaborate across departments, prepare monthly packages, manage AR, and contribute to budgeting and forecasting.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualification (in progress acceptable)
• High level of proficiency with Excel
• Ability to work in a remote team environment
• Demonstrate 4+ years of progressively responsible experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Critical thinking and problem solving
• AI skills (Claude, Copilot, etc)

Responsibilities

• Provide key support to various finance functions.
• Implement and maintain systems, software, processes, and procedures.
• Maintain a system of controls over all accounting transactions.
• Develop financial and operating metrics to measure the performance of the company operations including recommendations for improvements, as necessary.
• Leverage AI tools to streamline and automate processes.
• Assist with interim requests and annual audit requests.
• Assist in preparation of accurate and timely monthly reporting packages including financial statements.
• Comply with all local, state, and federal government reporting and tax filings.
• Support annual budget and monthly forecast initiatives.
• Oversee accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and payment collection.
• Ensure all balance sheet account reconciliations are updated monthly within deadlines.
• Receive cash and update client accounts as needed.
• Update and maintain cash flow spreadsheets for assigned legal entities.
• Ad hoc reporting as required, including special projects as necessary.
• Collaborate with various departments, including sales, and operations to ensure seamless integration, support business initiatives, and streamline processes.
• Possess a customer service mindset to ensure all internal and external customers are satisfied.
