Job summary

Morson Human Resources Limited is seeking an experienced Ruby Developer to join a growing engineering team on an initial 6-month contract, with the potential for extension. The role is fully remote and Outside IR35, offering up to £425 per day, working on modern software applications and collaborating with product teams.

You will design, develop and maintain scalable Ruby applications, build APIs, and contribute to testing and best practices within an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with Ruby
• Experience with Ruby on Rails or similar frameworks
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices
• Experience with automated testing and writing high-quality, maintainable code
• Familiarity with modern development practices including CI/CD
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing and maintaining scalable applications using Ruby
• Building clean, maintainable and well-tested code
• Developing and integrating APIs and backend services
• Collaborating with engineers, product and other stakeholders to deliver new features
