Job summary

Language Empire seeks freelance Romanian interpreters and translators to support NHS, Local Authorities, Police and other bodies across the UK. Roles include face-to-face, telephone and video interpreting, with flexible hours and competitive rates.

Applicants should hold DPSI or related qualifications, be self-employed, and have the right to work in the UK. Training and support are provided through our in-house team to ensure quality and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must have the right to work in the UK.
• Age 21 or over.
• Formal interpreting qualifications listed above.

Responsibilities

• Interpret for clients in legal, health and public services contexts.
• Check understanding after each sentence with non-English speakers.
• Handle conference, consecutive and public service interpreting.
• Maintain confidentiality and liaise between service user and provider.
