Job summary

American Society of Civil Engineers is seeking an M&E Design Engineer to strengthen their design capability within rail and station environments. The role offers remote work with around one day per week on-site as required, and opportunities for progression toward CRE responsibilities.

You will join a design team delivering M&E across rail and station projects, working with Chartered Managers who will support your technical and professional development.

Qualifications

• Previous M&E design experience.
• Experience working within the rail industry.
• Experience delivering M&E designs within station environments.
• Good understanding of relevant rail standards and design processes.
• Ability to work effectively within a predominantly remote position.
• Strong communication and technical coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce and support M&E designs for rail and station projects.
• Work across the design process from initial requirements through detailed design and delivery.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients and other engineering disciplines.
• Ensure designs meet relevant railway standards and project requirements.
• Provide technical input throughout project delivery.
• Support the development and delivery of E&P designs where appropriate.
