Job summary

Experis - ManpowerGroup is seeking an experienced Quality & Defect Manager to support a Central Government portfolio on a fully remote basis in the UK. The role focuses on driving QA activities, managing defect lifecycles across multiple suppliers, and ensuring delivery quality in a challenging multi-vendor environment.

The initial 3-month assignment is outside IR35, with a rate of £300 per day and equipment provided by the contractor.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Quality/Defect/Test manager in multi-vendor environments.
• Experience delivering in Central Government or public sector.
• Strong defect management knowledge and analytical reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality and defect management across a programme portfolio.
• Manage end-to-end defect lifecycle—triage, prioritise, assign, resolve, close.
• Coordinate defect activities across multiple suppliers and partners.
• Establish quality metrics, dashboards, and governance processes.
• Facilitate defect reviews and root-cause analysis.
• Work with programme managers, delivery teams, and suppliers to resolve issues.
• Monitor testing progress and ensure quality standards.
• Identify quality risks and implement mitigations.
• Produce MI and quality reports for senior stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement in QA processes.
