Job summary

Project Global Limited is seeking an experienced Python Developer to be based at the client’s office in Ipswich/London, UK. The role is hybrid, allowing UK-wide remote work with 3-4 days in the Ipswich/London offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline (as stated).
• 4+ years of professional Python development experience in automation or backend roles.
• Strong proficiency in building REST APIs using Flask or FastAPI with authentication and error handling.
• Experience with Linux environments, Bash scripting and deployment automation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based automation frameworks and scripts for network testing and data processing.
• Design and build RESTful APIs using Flask or FastAPI for internal tooling and cross-team integration.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases for test data, configuration and results management.
• Build and maintain Docker containers for packaging, deployment and testing environments.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines integrating Python automation into Jenkins or GitLab for continuous delivery.
• Write and maintain Linux shell scripts and manage deployments on Linux servers.
• Integrate with telecom network systems and APIs for automated validation, health checks and monitoring.
• Implement logging, error handling and monitoring for automation services.
• Collaborate with QA, network engineering and DevOps teams to identify automation opportunities.
