Job summary

Pontoon is seeking Backend Python Developers to join a greenfield service platform focused on CRM functionality. This remote role involves delivering scalable Python-based backend services, building APIs, and collaborating with product, engineering and frontend teams.

You will work in an Agile environment, participate in planning sessions in Bristol, and contribute to data solutions in AWS. The position offers a remote working arrangement with quarterly planning sessions in Bristol and a 6-month

Qualifications

Significant commercial experience developing backend applications in Python.
Proven expertise within AWS cloud environments.
Strong understanding of database technologies, including PostgreSQL and SQL or NoSQL databases (preferably DynamoDB).
Experience in building and supporting production-grade backend services.
Comfort in a hands-on development environment.
Strong problem-solving abilities with a product-focused mindset.
Experience in Agile software development teams.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python.
Build scalable APIs and event-driven services that support customer-facing applications.
Develop and optimise data solutions within AWS cloud environments.
Collaborate with product, engineering, and frontend teams to deliver new platform capabilities.
