Job Summary

ELFT Digital Therapy (EDT) is seeking a remote‑working Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to support online triage and assessment for the NHS EAST London IAPT services. The role offers flexible hours 8 am‑8 pm (Mon‑Thurs) and 9 am‑5 pm (Fri), full remote delivery, in‑house supervision, CPD and NHS benefits.

Main Duties

Complete automated online triage assessments and telephone assessments, support service users in accessing ELFT IAPT talking therapies, deliver psycho‑educational and low‑intensity interventions via video, telephone or typed text following NICE guidance, and participate in online video groups, one‑to‑one huddles and monthly service meetings.

Job Responsibilities
  • Work with diverse cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary.
  • Deliver one evening clinic per week (12 pm‑8 pm) and provide regular support to service users.
  • Participate in continuous professional development, supervision and line management.
  • Maintain accurate, concise records of interventions and assessments.
Person Specification
Education
  • Essential: Postgraduate qualification in Primary Care Mental Health, IAPT PWP training or equivalent.
  • Desirable: BABCP Accreditation as a PWP.
Experience
  • Worked with people with anxiety and depression.
  • Liaised with other agencies and services.
  • Training in assessment, intervention planning, risk assessment, low‑intensity interventions and stepped care model.
Skills
  • Ability to carry out assessment, elicit information, use computers for data entry.
  • Deliver low‑intensity interventions and keep clear records.
  • Familiarity and ability to use the stepped care model.
Knowledge
  • Knowledge of low‑intensity cognitive/behavioural interventions and NICE guidance.
  • Understanding of anxiety, depression and related medications.
  • Understanding of stepped care and the NHS Improving Access to Psychological Therapies agenda.
