Job summary

Synthires is seeking experienced Postdoctoral Researchers and STEM Research Specialists to contribute to advanced AI research and evaluation projects. You will evaluate AI-generated scientific outputs, analyses, and workflows to improve accuracy and scientific reasoning.

No prior AI experience is required; a strong STEM research background and proven analytical skills are essential for success in a fully remote role.

Qualifications

• PhD in STEM or closely related field.
• Postdoctoral research experience or equivalent.
• Strong methods, design, data analysis and problem solving.
• Experience in independent research projects and publications.
• Ability to analyze complex questions, data and results.
• Excellent scientific reasoning, writing and communication.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated scientific research, analyses, and STEM problem solving for accuracy and rigor.
• Apply research methodology, experimental design, data analysis, and technical problem solving.
• Review complex research workflows, experimental approaches, and methodologies.
• Analyze datasets, results, and outputs to identify errors and edge cases.
• Validate AI outputs using professional STEM knowledge and established principles.
• Document methodologies, analytical approaches, and validation processes clearly.
• Provide expert feedback to improve AI accuracy and output quality.
• Develop or apply evaluation frameworks and rubrics for STEM tasks.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to maintain scientific accuracy.
