Job summary

Cyberfort is seeking an experienced cyber security consultant to lead penetration testing engagements from planning to reporting and client debrief. You will work with experienced testers, deliver technical security assessments and build trusted client relationships across diverse environments.

The role offers autonomy to lead engagements, while collaborating with a supportive team to advance skills and specialisms in a culture that values curiosity, innovation and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering penetration testing and security assessments in consultancy/managed services.
• Strong understanding of OS, networks, web apps, cloud, and modern attack methods.
• Ability to independently manage security testing engagements from start to finish.
• Experience producing clear, professional client reports.
• Strong client-facing communication to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience building trusted customer relationships and supporting account development.
• Commercial awareness balancing customer needs, risk and business objectives.
• Ability to work autonomously with multiple priorities.
• Analytical, problem-solving mindset with curiosity.
• Experience supporting proposal development, scoping and engagement planning.
• Knowledge of industry standards, compliance, and security best practices.
• Degree in IT/Cyber Security/CS or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver penetration testing engagements from planning through reporting and client debrief.
• Lead client-facing projects as trusted advisor throughout delivery.
• Conduct technical security testing across environments, independently and with delivery teams.
• Produce high-quality technical reports communicating risks and remediation.
• Support development and refinement of testing methodologies, tools and processes.
• Collaborate with Account Managers to understand client requirements and scope opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships with professional communication and expertise.
• Contribute to research and development of testing approaches and tools.
• Develop tools, scripts and techniques to improve delivery efficiency.
• Mentor colleagues and promote a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
