Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a PCB Engineer to work on advanced PCB designs for the GCAP program. You will collaborate with hardware and microwave engineers to develop layouts, import schematics, place components, and route high-speed signals for optimal performance and manufacturability.

The role offers largely remote work with occasional trips to Bristol or Luton, and requires experience in multi-layer PCBs, RF design, and compliance with defence industry standards. Hybrid working is supported.

Qualifications

• Experience creating complex multi-layer PCBs with RF, digital, FPGA, power and mixed-signal circuitry.
• Ability to read schematics and design PCB in line with intent.
• Familiarity with high pin count parts, high-speed routing, differential pairs and interfaces (SMA, SMP, USB).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Hardware and Microwave engineers to develop PCB layouts from schematics and placement.
• Route high-speed power and mixed signals for thermal management and EMC.
• Create manufacturing output data packs (Gerbers, assembly drawings, BOMs).
