Qualifications

• AAT qualification (Level 3 or Level 4) or equivalent experience is required.
• Experience in an accounts or finance controller role within the UK.
• Strong knowledge of UK statutory accounting, VAT, and HMRC requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review and improve financial controls in line with UK accounting standards.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities and ensure timely financial transactions.
• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and variance analysis against budgets.

Skills

AAT qualified (Level 3 or Level 4) or equivalent experience

Proven experience in an accounts, finance controller, or senior finance role within the UK

Strong working knowledge of UK statutory accounting, VAT, and HMRC requirements

Experience producing monthly management accounts

Strong Excel skills and experience using accounting software

Experience using Sage Intacct
