Job summary

Motorola Solutions UK Limited is seeking a Network Engineer to plan, design and implement networking solutions while supporting existing infrastructure across UK sites. The role emphasizes security, compliance and serving critical national infrastructure products.

You will work in a team focused on networking, virtualization and infrastructure, with opportunities to learn new technologies in a fast-paced environment and to participate in after-hours on-call support as part of a rotation.

Qualifications

3 years minimum experience in a similar role.
Ability to attain NPPV3 and SC clearance.
Must be a resident of the UK for a minimum of 5 years to obtain.

Responsibilities

Manage and support networking operations across multiple Motorola sites and customers' remote sites.
Maintaining the firewall rules, routing policies, NAT and security objects across multiple technologies.
Design, Review & Maintain network documentation and topology diagrams.
Work with third party vendors to troubleshoot outages / circuits faults etc.
Participating in an on-call rotation (begins after 6 months of service)
Conduct capacity planning, performance tuning and optimisation.
Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements (ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, NCSC).
Travel to UK sites as necessary and may require international travel.
Support the Incident Management team in ensuring efficient delivery and resolution of incidents and problems with a solution.
Continuous personal and professional development to keep abreast of trends and threats.
