Job summary

Evotym is seeking an experienced MLRO to lead compliance across a fast-growing EMI/PSP fintech with global scope. The role is fully remote from London, focused on risk assessment, vendor management, and KYC processes to ensure regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

You will drive the design and execution of monitoring frameworks, policies, and product reviews from a compliance lens, supporting high-risk verticals and ongoing regulatory changes.

Qualifications

• Experience in AML/compliance within licensed payments (PSP/EMI)
• Hands-on KYC/KYB, sanctions, PEP, transaction monitoring
• Understanding of card schemes and acquiring specifics
• Knowledge of FCA UK regulations and regulatory environment
• Product-focused mindset to build and execute processes

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk scoring for merchants based on business models, MCC, geography, and volumes.
• Manage onboarding cycles according to risk tiers.
• Collaborate with compliance vendors for cross-validation of tools.
• Oversee KYC processes including document verification and sanctions checks.
• Set up and manage transaction monitoring rules and thresholds.
• Develop risk matrices and monitoring processes with timelines.
• Report SAR/STR and monitor regulatory changes (FCA, FATF, MiCA).
• Ensure up-to-date internal policies and regulatory reporting.
• Support cross-departmental regulatory deadlines (e.g., PCI DSS).
• Participate in new product launches from a compliance perspective.
