Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Mechanical Engineers to help train and improve AI models across engineering domains, from fluid dynamics to structural mechanics. The role focuses on challenging AI reasoning with advanced engineering problems and providing precise, benchmark solutions.

You'll design complex problems, author ground-truth solutions, and audit AI outputs for technical accuracy and compliance with standards. This is a fully remote hourly-contract position offering flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in a mechanical/related field.
• Strong foundations in solid/fluid mechanics and thermodynamics.
• Excellent written communication for technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design complex engineering problems across FEA, heat transfer, kinematics, fluid dynamics, and materials.
• Author precise, step-by-step ground-truth solutions for AI benchmarks.
• Audit AI outputs for technical accuracy, safety, and standards compliance (ASME, ISO).
• Identify and correct AI reasoning flaws and provide structured feedback.
• Work independently on task-based assignments with flexible hours.
