Job summary

A leading energy solutions company is seeking a Lead Project Engineer / Project Manager to coordinate engineering teams and manage project budgets. This hybrid role requires 5 years of experience in the electricity supply industry and an HNC / HND in electrical engineering. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical skills and commercial acumen. The position is based in Edinburgh with flexible remote work arrangements.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in the electricity supply industry.
• Knowledge of transmission or distribution practices (400kV to 11kV).
• Understanding of Distribution Network Operator standards and drawing practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the design team across all disciplines.
• Liaise with project management on engineering budgets.
• Manage the programme and interface with planning engineers.
• Provide forecasts for completion and resource planning.
• Approve documentation in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Coordinate design reviews and hazard reviews.
