Job summary

Intelance is seeking a Lead Integration Architect for a defined phase of a major UK technology programme. You will collaborate with the Chief Enterprise Architect and a small senior team to map and design how legacy, Oracle, and external systems exchange data within a controlled integration platform.

This hands-on architecture role spans roughly 28 days over 8–10 weeks. Delivery is mainly remote with some travel; strong enterprise integration experience and clear decision-making are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of technology architecture experience in enterprise settings
• Leading enterprise integration architecture across ERP, Oracle and legacy systems
• Experience replacing direct connections with managed integration approaches
• Strong knowledge of APIs, messaging, event-based integration, and batch processing
• Excellent written and spoken English; UK work rights

Responsibilities

• Verify existing connections between Oracle, bespoke apps, reporting tools and external services
• Produce a current integration map and identify high-risk connections
• Design target integration architecture and rules for future connections
• Define priority connections and rollout order
• Lead technical requirements and assessment for the integration platform
• Define patterns for APIs, events, files, transfers, monitoring and error handling
• Collaborate with Oracle and Security Architects
• Estimate delivery effort, skills, dependencies and risks
• Produce diagrams and decision papers for business and technology leaders
• Provide clean handover into implementation
