Robert Gordon University (RGU) in Aberdeen seeks a proactive Student Immigration Manager to lead the immigration team and ensure UKVI sponsorship compliance for international students.

You will develop policies, oversee SMS reporting, and advise senior leaders on regulatory changes while coordinating with academic schools and external partners. The role includes out-of-hours duties and a blended work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of UK immigration legislation and student visa sponsorship requirements.
• Experience leading and managing teams in a higher education setting.
• Ability to analyse complex information to provide clear guidance and advice.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage the Student Immigration Team, ensuring effective immigration advice and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with UK immigration legislation and sponsor licence requirements.
• Develop, implement and continually improve immigration compliance policies and controls.
• Provide guidance to senior leaders, staff and students on immigration matters and regulatory changes.
• Monitor sponsored student circumstances and report events via the SMS within timescales.
• Oversee enrolment activities and right-to-study checks for sponsor licence compliance.
• Collaborate with schools and external partners to embed compliance in processes.
• Represent the University in external networks and policy discussions.
