Salary: $1,200 - 1,800 USD/month depending on experience

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00a.m to 4:30p.m Eastern Time

Job Overview

Detail-oriented HVAC Drafter with advanced proficiency in AutoCAD MEP, Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage, and Autodesk BIM 360. Specialized in producing mechanical drawings, BIM coordination, and resolving design and field conflicts. Capable of working with multidisciplinary teams to ensure fully coordinated HVAC layouts that comply with applicable codes and project standards. Must be fluent in English and able to understand Spanish for effective communication within bilingual project teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update HVAC mechanical drawings, shop drawings, and as-built plans using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Create accurate 3D models of ductwork, piping, and equipment in Revit MEP, following design intent and manufacturer specifications.
• Perform clash detection and model coordination using Navisworks Manage, collaborating with other trades (electrical, plumbing, structural, and fire protection).
• Execute overlays (plan superimpositions) to identify inconsistencies between mechanical, structural, and architectural drawings.
• Identify and represent all slab and wall penetrations, ensuring proper placement and sizing according to designed equipment and duct routes.
• Detect and identify fire-rated walls and partitions to verify the requirement for Fire Dampers (FD) or Fire/Smoke Dampers (FSD) according to classification and system type.
• Support engineers and project managers by providing coordination views, sections, and constructible details ready for installation.
• Review equipment submittals and technical data sheets to ensure accurate representation in shop drawings.
• Ensure compliance with ASHRAE standards, Florida Building Code, and specific mechanical requirements of each project.

Qualifications, Skills, and Key Competencies

• Technical Requirements
• Must have a high-performance computer capable of running BIM and design software efficiently (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, BIM 360).
• Recommended Processor: Intel i7 / AMD Ryzen 7 or higher; Memory: 32 GB RAM or more
• Professional GPU: NVIDIA RTX / Quadro or equivalent
• SSD storage and a stable internet connection for collaborative BIM environments.
• Having active and legitimate licenses for Autodesk and Bluebeam Revu software will be considered a plus.
