Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited invites applications for a Housing Options Officer on a 10-week contract, offering hybrid (primarily remote) work with occasional visits across Somerset. You will assess homelessness risks, provide housing advice, and coordinate with partner agencies to prevent homelessness and secure suitable housing solutions.

Ideal candidates will have experience in housing options, strong communication, and case-management skills, plus a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience in Housing Options, Homelessness, or housing advice.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage complex caseloads and investigations.
• Excellent organizational and administrative abilities.
• Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide housing options advice to homeless or at risk individuals.
• Clarify rights, tenure, and relevant legislation.
• Assist applicants to secure and maintain housing.
• Conduct homelessness assessments and develop personalised housing plans.
• Manage housing applications and maintain records.
• Work with partner agencies and community services.
• Ensure GDPR/compliance and case management.
