Job summary

A leading staffing agency is seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to ensure compliance with UK health and safety legislation. The role involves conducting regular site inspections, incident management, and training delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong legislative background, experience in high-risk environments, and hold a NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety. This position is remote with some travel to Warwick, and is initially for 6 months.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in conducting and reviewing RAMS and safe systems of work.
• Experience in high-risk environments such as COMAH Terminals and Gas Compressor Station.
• Additional training in incident investigation, behavioural safety, or auditing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
• Conduct site inspections and audits to identify risks.
• Manage safety technical competencies for programme personnel.

Skills

Strong working knowledge of UK health and safety legislation

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Competent in incident investigation and root cause analysis

Education

NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety

IOSH membership (TechIOSH or above)
