Job summary

iO Associates is seeking an experienced Go (Golang) Backend Developer for Outside IR35, fully remote contracts. You'll work on scalable services, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems, with modern development practices and AI-assisted tooling.

Initial 6-month engagement with conversations starting next week; opportunity to join exciting new projects from the outset. Prior commercial Go experience and willingness to work across the stack are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with Go (Golang) (essential).
• Backend engineering and microservices.
• RESTful API development and integration.
• Experience building cloud-native or distributed systems.
• Comfortable contributing across the stack where required.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, Claude etc.)
