Job summary

Tem-Energy Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Automation Specialist to automate the operational work that sits outside Product and Engineering. You’ll partner with Engine Leads to identify manual processes and replace them with automation that lasts, using AI-first approaches.

You’ll build agents and reasoning layers with Claude, Codex, and n8n, and ship them inside Tem’s GitHub/AWS stack, ensuring durability and maintainability across production.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in automation roles with provable hours reclaimed
• Comfort in API integration between systems not designed to talk to each other
• Deep experience with low-code automation platforms (n8n or equivalent) and hands-on with Claude/Codex
• Systems thinking to map messy processes into clean architecture
• Strong testing habit with evals and manual QA
• Ability to partner with non-technical domain experts to turn knowledge into automation
• Desirable: experience in high-growth startups or fintech/energy/logistics
• Desirable: data engineering or business intelligence background
• Desirable: active in AI tooling landscape and rapid knowledge transfer
• Open to candidates who may not meet every requirement

Responsibilities

• Automate operational work outside Product and Engineering
• Partner with Engine Leads to replace manual processes with robust automation
• Build agents and integrations using Claude, Codex, n8n, and ship within Tem's stack (GitHub, AWS, S3, TypeScript)
• Own delivery end-to-end from discovery to production, monitoring, and iteration
• Design and maintain the reasoning layer for workflows routing and acting on business logic
• Codify business rules and data-quality gates with safety valves for human hand-off
• Experiment with AI tooling and iterate on real operational feedback
• Collaborate with domain experts across Payments & Debt, Tendering & Partner Activation, etc.
• Monitor hours reclaimed and report impact as a metric
• Maintain remote-first, flexible working model with core hours and no Friday meetings
